Well Cupcakers, we had a gloriously rainy spring, but I think we can all agree, summer is upon us here in the great State of Texas. That means backyard barbecues, pool parties, boat trips, and fun in the sun! We can’t think of a better addition to your summer soirees than fresh, fruity fun cupcakes!
The Cupcake Bar is pleased to announce we’re adding sweet summery cake flavors and toppings to our menu for the months of June, July and August! Imagine an ice cold lemonade complimented by a strawberry or lemon flavored cupcake, light and delicious lemon butter cream, and topped off with fresh berries. Picture yourself biting into a cool Tres Leches cupcake while partying poolside with your friends. Maybe you’re throwing a tropical party this summer? Enjoy one of our pineapple coconut cupcakes with a tall, cool Mai Tai or Piña Colada! We’d bet one of your favorite summer treats growing up was an orange Dreamsicle? Well, you’re in luck. The Cupcake Bar offers a Dreamsicle flavored cupcake that will take you back in time to your childhood when summers were all about running around and having fun!
And the toppings, friends, the toppings!! We’ve added juicy peaches, beaucoups of berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries), bananas, and toasted coconut to the summer menu! But we encourage you to use your imagination and tell us what else you’d like to see this summer! What are your favorite summer flavors? What sends you back to the days of slip ’n’ slides and drinking from the garden hose? Let us know! We’re happy to make all your summer cupcake dreams come true!
Break out the sunscreen and start planning those summer festivities!
The Cupcake Bar was thrilled to be invited by Austin Influential Group to participate in Derby Day 2015, benefitting R.O.C.K. Ride On Center for Kids! If you didn’t already know, R.O.C.K. provides equine-assisted therapies and activities to children–it’s a such a wonderful cause. Please visit their website to figure out how you can get involved!
Derby Day was filled with fillies, fun, fashion, and fundraising! The whole thing took place at TenOak Bourbon House + Kitchen. There was a killer fashion show in which Rare Trends provided the darling clothing for women, Ross Bennett designed the dapper duds for the men, Rae Cosmetics had these gorgeous models glowing, The Hat Box provided the beautiful brimmed hats, and the ever so talented Kendra Scott brought the sparkle and jewels! And what’s a derby day without taking a photo with a live pony (or was it a miniature horse, does anyone know the difference?)??
