Recently, The Cupcake Bar was presented with a unique and really special opportunity and we were so excited to join in on the fun! Here’s the story: There once was an insanely talented designer named Katie Kime, and girlie had it Going On. A flourishing design business, wonderful business partners, a fella that loved her very much, great friends and a brood of adorable and well behaved children. Are you green with envy yet?? So, it was Miss Kime’s birthday, Valentine’s Day was right around the corner, and love was in the air! Unbeknownst to her, the Cupcake Bar had been contacted to participate in her… wait for it… Surprise Birthday/Engagement party!!!

What an event!!! Ahead of time, Katie’s friend and business partner brought over a bunch of gorgeous framed art, awesome gold reptilian sculptures, fabrics, boxes, knickknacks, doodads and a beautiful framed menu for us to incorporate into our Cupcake Bar design. They also provided us with a gorgeous lucite bar cart for us to fill with colorful candy and decor. The creative team at The Cupcake Bar was inspired and elated by the challenge of working with these wonderful additions to our already fabulous setup, and we were so tickled with the way it all turned out at the event. The surprise party was Lovely! Splendid! Joyful—and had a Surprise Twist. The party guests (some of whom had traveled a long way to be there) thought they were in attendance to surprise Katie, but as it turns out, they were also surprised with news of Katie’s engagement!!
