Roaming Treats: Completely Custom

Roaming Treats: Completely Custom

Hey Cupcakers! Here at The Cupcake Bar, as you well know, we’re passionate about all things cupcakes. Hopefully by now you’ve also seen our fanaticism for roaming through parties and events with trays filled to the brim with treats, sweets, and savory goodies. Yes, today we’re talking about our Roaming Treats service!

We’ve really been having a good time offering our roaming treats services to some of our most creative clients, and The Cupcake Bar’s involvement in two very different open houses exemplifies our ability to really customize the Roaming Treats service to match the event. From the tray to the treats, to the style of dress our roamer wears (we love costuming!!!), The Cupcake Bar is ready to go all out to make your event truly YOURS.

The first event took place in the heart of the Texas Hill Country at the beautiful Camp Lucy. This is a place recognized for their breathtaking views and their stunningly romantic venue that makes the perfect backdrop for weddings and events. We were thrilled to be included in the unveiling of their new vineyard space, and to celebrate Camp Lucy threw a “Glamping” themed open house. Shelter Co. provided  adorable, indulgently decked out tents, complete with modern furnishings by Whim event rentals and some fun camping games. Whim Hospitality planned the soiree and  provided guests with tasty fresh food and cool drinks from their catering services. Florals and succulents galore, found in trendy modern vases throughout the party were provided by Whim’s floral department. Really, is there anything these Whim folks can’t do? To match the theme, The Cupcake Bar custom designed a roaming trail mix bar—a mix of sweet and savory snacks, complete with a customized tray that touted “Treats for the Trail” right on the front, and of course, our roamer dressed as a high-heeled scout master. It was glamping, after all! We really had a blast participating in this campy-cute event. See more about this event at Camp Lucy’s blog! Photo credits to the super-humans at Al Gawlik.

We took our roaming treats service in a completely different direction for the second open house. Trinity Hall is a Downtown Austin, TX establishment— and everything from the architecture to the history of the building just screams Austin. The perfect mix of rock and roll meets country, vintage meets modern, casual meets ultra luxe. The design of the event, executed with precision by Meritage Events, fit the venue perfectly. Townsley Designs provided furnishings that paired modern, clean lines with elegant linen and comfy leather. David Kurio Designs created centerpieces that married antlers with lush florals, succulents with extravagant tropical greenery, and the floral work-of-art that he and his team sculpted for the main room may well have been the most talked about element of the night. Truly stunning. The room really felt like the embodiment of all things Austin, TX. The Cupcake Bar featured our original mainstay, our beloved Cupcake Bar, and folks, it was decked out to the nines. It was one of the most gorgeous set-ups to date, but we’re here to talk about our roaming treats service. We teamed up with local woodworker, and together designed a beautiful, all repurposed-wood, custom laser engraved tray complete with guitar pegs so that we could carry the tray by guitar strap. The goal was to really express the culture here in Austin in a single roaming treats tray: go local, innovate, find ways to repurpose everything into something more beautiful, and especially what this city has become world famous for: music, music, music. We were so proud of the results, and felt so honored to be in the company of such event industry greats! See pre-event photos by the famous Jerry Hayes, here .
