“Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination. Take a look and you’ll see into your imagination.”
-Gene Wilder, Willy Wonka
Only in a child’s greatest imagination could anyone dream of having one of the biggest, most over-the-top, real-life Willy Wonka wonderland parties, modeled after the childhood book: Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. We were so honored to be a part of this grand event held at The Driskill Hotel for Charlie, celebrating his Bar Mitzvah.
When young Charlie (Yes, his real name!) and his parents needed help pulling off a dessert buffet of candy and sweet treats, we created something extra special and unique for this one-of-a-kind event. The Bar Mitzvah included everything from Oompa Loompas to whimsical food and decor. No detail was overlooked and, it truly was magical.
Planned by the extraordinary Caplan Miller Events with design elements by Townsley Designs, a breathtaking real-life Willy Wonka candyland transformed the ballroom of The Driskill. One would even believe they had been transported to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory themselves! With chocolate scented air throughout the rooms, guests were in dazzled with every sense by the theatrical event.
Definitely one of the most fun-filled candy bars we have ever created, guests of all ages were able to pick from giant lollipops, Charlie's Wonka bars, custom lickable wallpaper, fireballs, Everlasting Gobstoppers, golden eggs, candy necklaces, and pop rocks, just to name a few. Guests created their own goodie bag of treats and, as imagined, the Wonka bars were the biggest hit!No Willy Wonka themed Bar Mitzvah would be complete without an Oompa Loompa helping serve all these sweet treats to the the guests. Our staff dressed up as an Oompa Loompa and greeted guests, while making sure everyone had plenty of sugar. And, in attendance, was a very, large blue Violet Beauregarde who made the room larger than life.
Needless to say, The Cupcake Bar had a BLAST creating and customizing this very special event. Themed parties is always one of our favs, so always keep us in mind - we always like to dress the part, too!
