Workhuman Live 2024 just wrapped in Austin, Texas after a week of intentionality and focus. This human resources conference is for HR practitioners, organizational leaders, culture-shapers and visionaries united in championing humanity’s importance in the workplace. The three-day event was full of meaningful conversations, relevant insights, inspiring keynotes like Brené Brown (love her)!
We joined these HR champions at the Austin Convention Center on April 18. Wanting something as engaging and meaningful as the rest of their programming, our fun and interactive Cupcake Bar service was the perfect conference dessert to fuel these changemakers. This interactive dessert experience let attendees choose the cake flavor, filling, and frosting, then load it up with their favorite toppings. Our Cupcake Bartenders did the building and served everyone their custom treat.
With 1,000 cupcakes for conference attendees to custom create, our four cupcake bars were in a square setup to dish out the treats from every side. In an effort to be inclusive and ensure everyone got to make their own cupcake, HALF (count 'em, that's 500) of the cupcakes were vegan with vegan toppings to match! Two of our cupcake bars were dedicated to these vegan treats to guarantee there was no cross contamination.
Cupcakes weren't the only thing we served... Since the conference was being held in our hometown of Austin, Texas, our Cupcake Bartenders dressed the part in true Cupcake Bar fashion. With denim on denim, we served up authentically funky Austin Vibes - jean shirt paired with jean pants and a red bandana for a pop of color. Everyone loved that we dressed up (almost) as much as they loved our cupcakes!
