How to Make Sparkly Jello Shots
Sip, sip, hooray! One of our favorite ways to use our Drink Glitter is to add it to frozen treats. These jello shots are perfect for bachelorette parties, NYE gatherings, or any time you can use a little sparkle. As we say here at The Cupcake Bar: celebrate everything!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups white cranberry strawberry juice (or any other pink juice)
- ½ oz unflavored gelatin
- 1 ½ cups Prosecco or sparkling wine
- Drink Glitter
- Optional: Cocktail Rimming Sugar
- Optional: Cooking Spray
Directions:
- Spray cups or mold with a light coating of cooking spray. (This is optional, but helps release jello shots once frozen.)
- Add juice to small saucepan and sprinkle gelatin on top. Allow to rest for about 5 minutes, or until gelatin softens.
- Warm liquid over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Stir until gelatin is dissolved, then remove from heat. Do not boil.
- Whisk in the Prosecco or sparkling wine.
- Add Drink Glitter to desired sparkliness. Stir gently.
- Fill the molds, leaving a little space at the top for the liquid to expand.
- Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until solid.
- Remove from freezer. For a sugared rim, dip jello shot cup into a little extra juice, then dip into Cocktail Rimming Sugar.
- Optional, but totally recommended: Dust shots with additional Drink Glitter before serving. Cheers!
Substitutions and Customizations:
-
These can be made into sparkly ice cubes! Simply omit the gelatin, and replace the alcohol with sparkling water.
- Not a fan of sparkling wine? Try vodka or rum instead.
